In ELA students are learning about the theme: Unit 1 Risk and Consequences
Genre: Realistic Fiction Target Skills: RL. 4.6 Compare and Constrast the pointof view from which different stories are narrated, including the difference between first-third-person narrations. RL.4.1 Drawing Inferences from text. RL.4.2 Determine a theme of the story, drama, or poem from detailsin the text; summarize the text. Grammar: R.F.4.3a. Combine knowledge of all letter-sound correspondences, syllabication patterns, and morphology (eg. roots ans affixes). Spelling: RF.4.3.a., identify root word plus suffix L4.4.b. use common, grade-appropriate Greek and Latin affixes and roots as clues to the meaning of a word (e.g.,telegraph, photograph, autograph). Writing: W.4.7, W.4.8, W.4.9.a., Students will write a realistic story that has regular people or animals, the setting is a real place, and the plot could actually happen. |

A homework packets will be given out each Monday and will be due on Friday. Students may have additional assignments if work is not completed during class time. The packet will consist of Reading Comprehension, Spelling, and Social Studies. |
